Grammar and spelling rules exist to help people understand you. They shouldn’t scare you out of writing. Mistakes will happen. Learn the rules, make choices, and publish.
LOL. Thanks, Neela. I enjoy saying "fuck off," directly or indirectly, at times.
I spent 2 years beating the grammarian/grad school writer out of my writing when I started as an editor. I found some of the my College and grad school papers last week. My basic style of writing hasn't changed -- random connections, sorta sometimes sideways thinking, and, I hope, decent writing -- but, oofah, the big words. The biggest thing was learning to just use the quarter or dime word instead of always reaching for the dollar one.
Cuz I'm sometimes like Sir Mix-A-Lot; I like big words and I cannot lie.
Happy Friday, Neela. Enjoy the sportsball where they use their feet rather than hands tomorrow.
I support any essay that tells people to learn the rules and then occasionally tell the rules to fuck off.
Especially when the alternative is never writing anything at all.
Happy Friday, Bryant.

I love that your core writing style was already there.
You know I will.
Although I can't wait until it's 5 o clock to have that gin and tonic.
cheers Bryant.
Man, I haven't had a G&T since Karen broke up with me. Need to get back on that raw liquor horse.
Fyi, gin and ginger beer (if youve not tried that combo) with a bit of lime and or ginger (candied or raw), delicious.
I have tried that. Yummy :)
Have you ever tried scotch and coconut water?
that’s a trini favorite
