'There is no secret sauce. Do the work. Do it again. Repeat.' - The amount of money people spend trying to find the shortcut around this is staggering.

Every 'guru' selling a course on 'the one weird trick' is literally just repackaging 'show up consistently with useful information' in new language. Which is fine! Repackaging is valid! But let's be honest about what we're selling. What's up, Bryant!

Preach. The need for most of the hustlebro coach types would dry up about instantly if folks read and applied stoic philosophy (or just listened to anyone successful) and just started doing the things.

Me, I'm working on it.

As for repackaging, we've been restating and reframing this "knowledge" of "hey, if you do the work, intentionally, you'll get better at the thing" every generation probably going back to the first generation :)

In marketing, the technology is very different, but Hopkin's direct marketing advice is as relevant now and in 1911 and Ogilvy and others were talking about the essence of content/inbound marketing before those HubSpot dudes popularized "inbound" to sell their CRM platform.

Happy Thursday Bryant

Hopkins would be FURIOUS to see his principles getting sold as $997 masterclasses when he literally wrote the book (for free, eventually). Though he'd probably also respect the hustle? 😅

Nah, he'd up the price to $1,997 and make sales entirely via coupons and direct mail. 😀
