Dating is a perfect analogy for marketing, Bryant!
(And ugh... went on a date recently, and within a few days said, "nah, I'm good," lol).
This reminds me of all the products/courses I've purchased because someone was good at selling... not delivering. Or they were very loud about marketing.
Now more than ever, we need the fine art of discernment! 😊
Unless I come up with a better name, he is officially CC; short for "Cobra Snake." Because I heard a joke about Canadian geese being cobra chickens and I started noodling. Happy to know someone else likes him too!
Had to LOL at your "nah, I'm good." Had a lunch date Saturday and there was enough chemistry for another date. Got a text Sunday of essentially, "nah, I'm good." Flip side, that was my move on my only other date this year in April. It's tough out there being a pimp. lol.
And here's to lots of people putting a ring on both of us through the rest of the year and next.
Thanks, Neela. Seems to more press release marketing out there in the world than there should be for sure.
Hell, I'm a GIANT. If it wasn't for my Pawpan, who was 6', I'd be 5'3 or so probably. Meme and Mawmaw were an inch on either side of 5'. My Dad is 5'4", Mama is 5'2" and Pawpaw was (I think) shorter than my Dad (heart attack when I was 6, so don't remember him well).
Funny thing is that a few folks have said something similar about my height. All of my close friends when I was young were 6' plus. Had someone in college look at me once and say "I never realized you were that short." I was like WTF, we've known each other since we were freshman. I mean we weren't close, but still. Weird.
Anyways. THANK YOU; especially since I thought you were taking a break!?
Maybe standing next to a bunch of 6-foot friends gave you some sort of borrowed altitude.
No break. I get decent engagement on my articles, and I love having conversations with people, but from now until December it’s a fast sprint to the finish line.
I have no intention of working past December 18, so I thought I’d publish every other week.
If I had to sacrifice one thing on my Substack, it would be my essays. At least then I could use the time I do have to read and support other people. So for now I will be publishing every other Tuesday.

Great piece!
p.s. still love your Rooster-snake!
Thanks, Kim!
Amen to discernment in all aspects of life.

Haha, well, he got pretty intense pretty quickly.
I kept an open mind, but after 4 days it was enough. 😂
Cobra Snake it is, lol.
This is why I get suspicious when companies spend more time polishing the promise than fixing the experience.
At some point the customer meets the real business.
No amount of lovely copy can save you if support is shit, the process is confusing, or nobody takes ownership when something goes wrong.
Eventually reality gets a turn.
5ft 6 eh?
I would have never guessed Bryant.
I am 5ft 8..
My sister is 5/9 and my brother is 6/4 lol
My parents are both tall.
Happy Tuesday to you...

Ah, gotcha. Happy to keep reading as long as you keep writing.
LOL, maybe, I've been puzzling over that comment off and on for over 3 decades now. I know for sure I don't have short guy syndrome though.
