Social media and search engines control access to your audience. You only "rent" your presence on social platforms. Your email list is the one asset you fully control. Understand this to grow.
Thanks, great tips! I’ve a newsletter on ConvertKit as well, but getting people to subscribe is also not so easy these days.
So much information available and I ‘m also getting tired of subscribing and no time to read all these newsletters, believe it’s the same for many of us.
I've taken to subscribing but not reading many just to see the various formats newsletters take. I think there's a difference in what we're trying to do -- grow an audience -- versus what an existing business needs to do -- sell to that existing audience (which is what I wanna help folks do).
That said, I'm going to keep poking away at this one in the hopes of attracting a larger and larger audience. The only way to grow is to keep at it. I know this to be true!
I'm sorting through another post for next week that'll be "what the hell IS a newsletter." Because they can come in so many shapes and sizes and formats and and and!
